Vocational training for safe working practices

“Defender” is the training centre of the NGO “Kyiv Volunteer Fire Service”. We prepare safety professionals and teach people to act confidently and responsibly in hazardous situations.

We combine theory and practice: explaining safety requirements, developing skills and discussing situations learners may encounter at work.

Training programmes

How training works

Courses involve specialists with practical experience in fire and rescue, civil protection, mine action, occupational safety and first aid.

Theory is complemented by practical classes, drills and work-related case studies. Our aim is to help learners both understand the material and apply it in practice.

Who can train and in what format

We work with individual learners and teams from businesses, institutions and organisations, local communities, charities, NGOs and volunteer formations.

Training may be individual or group-based. Depending on the programme, in-person classes, distance learning or self-study are available. Practical components, schedules and duration are agreed during registration.

Licence and training documents

NGO “Kyiv Volunteer Fire Service” provides educational services under the relevant licence issued by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine. Vocational training is delivered within the scope of the licence and approved educational programmes.

After completing the relevant programme and successfully demonstrating learning outcomes, participants receive the documents specified for that type of training. Ask during registration which document is issued for your chosen programme.
