Fire Safety Training
Knowing fire safety rules helps prevent fires, recognise hazards early and respond appropriately in an emergency. Kyiv Volunteer Fire Service NGO provides training to protect lives and property and encourage a responsible approach to safety.
Who the training is for
The training is intended for managers, officers responsible for fire safety, and employees of businesses, institutions and organisations.
The programme is selected according to participants' responsibilities and working conditions.
What the training covers
- Fire prevention: common causes of fires and preventive measures.
- Fire safety at work: safe working arrangements and employee responsibilities.
- Safe use of equipment: handling electrical appliances and other potential ignition sources.
- Actions in a fire: alerting people, calling emergency services and immediate response.
- Evacuation: leaving a hazardous area and the importance of keeping escape routes clear.
- First-response firefighting equipment: types of extinguishers, basic use and limitations.
Training formats
Depending on the programme and the client's needs, the following formats may be agreed:
In-person training
Instructor-led classes, case discussions and questions and answers.
Distance learning
Studying materials and interacting with an instructor online.
On-site team training
Classes at the client's business, institution or organisation by prior arrangement.
Self-study followed by a final knowledge assessment
Independent study at your own pace followed by a final assessment. Preparation and assessment arrangements are agreed during registration.
Available formats, schedules and duration are confirmed during registration.
Final assessment and certificate
After completing the training, including self-study, participants take a final fire safety knowledge assessment.
Successful participants receive a certificate of completion of fire safety training.
For responsible officers, scheduled refresher training and knowledge assessment take place once every three years. An earlier assessment is required in cases specified by law. Different intervals may apply to certain categories of employees.
