Safe work starts with knowledge

Ukrainian Training Centre “Defender” of the NGO “Kyiv Volunteer Fire Service” provides occupational safety training and knowledge assessment for managers, responsible officers and employees of businesses, institutions and organisations.

The aim is to equip learners with the knowledge to organise safe working conditions, prevent workplace injuries and respond appropriately to hazardous and emergency situations.

Who needs this training

The training is intended for business and institution managers, responsible officers, department heads, occupational safety officers and other employeeswho are legally required to undertake occupational safety training and knowledge assessment.

We work with individual learners and organised groups from businesses and institutions.

Main training topics

The programme may include:

• Ukrainian occupational safety legislation;
• organising an occupational safety management system;
• the rights, duties and responsibilities of employers and employees;
• organising training, briefings and knowledge assessments;
• safe workplace organisation;
• preventing occupational injuries and work-related risks;
• response procedures for accidents and emergencies;
• fundamentals of fire and technological safety;
• providing first aid to casualties;
• practical aspects of workplace safety management.

Course content and duration depend on the learner category and required programme.

Training formats

• In person

  Classes with an instructor at the training centre.

• Online

  Remote study of the course material.

• Self-study

  Independent study followed by a knowledge assessment under the established procedure.

For organised groups, programmes and schedules can be arranged to meet the client's needs.

Knowledge assessment

The course concludes with an occupational safety knowledge assessment.

Training and assessment results are documented in accordance with the requirements for the relevant learner category and programme.
