Support for firefighters, veterans and retirees of the Civil Protection Service

Supporting those who have dedicated their lives to saving others.

Support during service and beyond

Kyiv Volunteer Fire Service provides ongoing support to serving firefighters and rescuers, veterans and retirees of Ukraine’s State Emergency Service.

We help people remain professionally active, explore employment and community opportunities, adjust to life after service and uphold their lawful rights and interests.

Our main areas of support

Social support and protection of rights

We help firefighters, veterans and retirees of the Civil Protection Service address social welfare issues, with particular attention to those injured while responding to the consequences of enemy attacks.

Working with public authorities

We help establish communication with national and local authorities and social services on social protection, rehabilitation, career transition and access to assistance provided by law.

In particular, we help people contact Kyiv Military Hub.

Employment and career transition

We support employment and retraining for SES veterans and retirees, helping experienced professionals apply their skills after service and explore new career paths.

Opportunities within our organisation

We involve serving and retired firefighters in our projects and programmes, offering opportunities to continue professional work, mentor the next generation and take on additional work in accordance with the law.

Veterans’ participation in community life

Firefighters’ experience, knowledge and skills remain valuable after service. We support SES veterans and retirees in community, volunteer, educational and professional activities, mentoring and social adaptation.
